CCNA Certification Advice
Cisco Career Certifications offer three Certification levels: Associate, Professional and Expert. The associate level contains three exams: CCENT, CCNA and CCDA. CCNA Certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) validates the ability to install and operate medium-size routed networks. CCNA Certification exam can be taken in two modalities: you can pass either two tests (INTRO and ICND) or one single test (CCNA). If you choose to take CCNA Certification exam by passing two tests, you will have to pay $100 for each. For the single CCNA Certification exam you will have to pay only $150. But the two-test option gives you the possibility to concentrate on certain subjects. Each CCNA Certification exam has its specific number, which you have to know when you apply for taking a certain CCNA Certification exam. CCNA Certification exam number changes when the curriculum is changed. The current CCNA Certification exam number is 640-801. INTRO exam number is 640-821 and ICND exam number is 640-811. CCNA Certification is a computer-based exam and can be taken online. Before taking any Cisco Certification exam you must obligatory acknowledge the Cisco Career Certifications and Confidentiality Agreement. This can be done online at the authorized testing center. Without signing this agreement you cannot be officially certified. CCNA Certification exams are available worldwide in English language. To learn about the availability of CCNA Certification exams in other languages, contact a Cisco authorized test delivery partner. For the preparation for CCNA Certification exam you may take advantage of CCNA Certification Courses of the Network Academy Program, which are equivalent to 280 hours of instruction. The recommended CCNA Certification training comprises the Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices Part 1 and Part 2. Cisco Center provides its students with a basic foundation in networks. The instruction process takes place in a lab of Local Academy, Regional Academy or Cisco Academy Training Centers (CATCs). Each lab is equipped with switchers, routers, software, cables and product support. CCNA Certification Courses provide a detailed overview of protocol operations and a comprehensive overview of networking. CCNA Certification Courses also offer in-depth theory and challenging labs. CCNA Certification exams are given at Prometric or Pearson VUE testing centers, which are located worldwide. The first step towards obtaining a CCNA Certification is to fill out the Cisco Networking Academy Program application available online at the official Cisco website. You can schedule your CCNA Certification exam from the same day up to six weeks in advance. If you fail in your CCNA Certification exam, you can apply again only after a five-day period from the failed attempt. Three-five days after your CCNA Certification examination date, you will receive an electronic certificate with your results. For a printed version of your CCNA Certification, you will have to wait six-eight weeks. CCNA Certification allows you to use the corresponding Cisco Career Certifications logo. CCNA Certification is valid for three years. During this period a CCNA holder can either retake the CCNA Certification exam or pass an exam for a Professional or Expert-level. Otherwise CCNA Certification will be suspended. Go forward in your career - get your CCNA Certification! |
